Match Report Press Report

Wykeham 4 Lost to Abshot 2 in a one-sided match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 4 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 53 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Simon Brooks, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 68 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Andy Cooper.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 4 string, Graham Percy, gaining 70 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Dave Nicholson, who over-turned a 1418 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
