Match Report Press Report

Alverstoke 2 Lost to Nuffield Health 3 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 80 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Carol House winning through.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 74 Points ! Victory finally going to the Home Player, Carol House.

Player of the match must be the Away number 3 string, Bev Brockway, who over-turned a 2476 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
