Match Report Press Report

Alverstoke 3 Lost to Lee-on-Solent 4.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 4 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 4 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Toby Ponting, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 71 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Luke L Noyce.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Luke L Noyce, gaining 70 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 3 string, Dave Marshall, who over-turned a 2658 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
