Match Report Press Report

Nuffield Health 3 Lost to Avenue 3 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 5 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 4 string should have been the closest, with only 68 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, PHIL LOAT, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 70 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, WALTER CHAPMAN.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 3 string, WALTER CHAPMAN, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, ANDY FRANKLIN, who over-turned a 1456 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
