Match Report Press Report

Portsmouth Navy 1 Lost to Riverpark I.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 69 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Alex Hammond, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 3 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 52 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Alex Hammond.

Player of the tie was the Home No. 1 string, Jeff Fillmore, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, David Chater, who over-turned a 2150 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
