Match Report Press Report

Romsey LC 1 Lost to Winchester 7 in a one-sided match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 3 string should have been the closest, with only 62 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Pete Glyn-Jones, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 4 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 63 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Simon Geary.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 4 string, Simon Geary, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 5 string, Christopher Liddell, who over-turned a 502 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
